The Hidden Springs Swim Club (HSSC) is a non-profit organization formed to improve the swimming abilities for Hidden Springs resident youth aged 6-18 years old (see Eligibility). We want this experience for your swimmer to not only be fun, educational and a good source of exercise, but also to provide healthy competition, which develops sportsmanship, self discipline, motivation and teamwork.
Our most important goals are to improve the swimming techniques of each individual swimmer and to have a great time doing it. This is accomplished through daily practices that stress, stroke form, starting technique, turns, and endurance.
Practice / Conduct
Practices are held in a positive and motivating environment. Swimming is both an individual sport and a team sport, encouraging individual improvement and developing good sportsmanship with teammates. All of our athletes are encouraged to respect and appreciate their teammates, coaches, families and competitors and to realize their personal best.
There is probably no better sport for overall health than swimming. Swimming is known to build endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. It’s been said regular swim workouts maintain a healthy weight, healthy heart and lungs, and provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of your muscles are used during swimming.
Besides, who doesn’t love to exercise without the sweat?!
